Last days in Vietnam

This morning and last night are worth mentioning just because of the crazyness. Last night we were going to stay in but then we decided to head to a bar. A group of us went and ended up at this small place with a pool table and free rum and cokes... not too shabby. Then we went over to a "salsa" bar which was really just a bar that could play salsa if you wanted. They had Itunes up and you could pick and switch to whatever song you wanted. They also had a free drink there so I didn't pay anything that night except for our motorbike rides... oh ya we took motorbikes for like a $1 to get to the bars... we didn't drive of course but it was quite scary. Fun but scary... anywho we stayed at the salsa bar and danced and met lots of interesting people from all over the world. I went back to the hotel, packed and went to bed. Then this morning I woke up early to go to the tailor with Dani (oh ya I got 3 custom dresses made and 4 pairs of shoes custom made). So after the tailor we went to the shoe store to try on our new shoes. I had them fix mine a bit as Dani went to a wood shop to buy some things. Long story short, she had to ship them and we had to leave the hotel at 10:30 and it was already 9:30. I went back to the shoe shop and waited there for her until 10:10 when I absolutely had to leave but she knew to just go back to the hotel. I paid for my shoes and the owners husband took me back to my hotel on his motorbike... I tried to pay him but he wouldn't let me, the people there were so nice to us. I ran up to my room, made sure I was packed, then ran to Dani's room to see if she got back... she wasn't and she hadn't packed yet so I threw everything in her bag and got her packed. She came with like 3 min to spare and we both made it downstairs on time. That was this morning, and it was soooooooooo crazy and eventful. Good thing is we made it and got everything we needed. We flew to Saigon and are only here for tomorrow and then we leave the next day for Cambodia. Yesterday we took a mile bike ride to the beach and as you can see in the pictures i will post it was amazing. We also played some water volleyball with the locals. Hoi An is the perfect small town to live in and the people were amazingly nice. I knew I said I could live in Hong Kong but I could also live in Hoi An for completely different reasons... and of course I want to bring everyone back to these amazing places. I'm making sure to take lots of pics and videos so that you all can experience what I've done... We are at our hotel in Saigon and have internet! yay! But Vietnam blocks Skype cell phone calls so you have to be on Skype to talk to me thru video. Tomorrow is a busy day but I'll try to be online when I can.

Wow can you cram any more into a day! Sorry we missed your video call tonight(6/19). Dad & I had to attend a wake for one of my co-workers who recently retired. (bummer). Dad told me you were sick. Stick to the beer and bottled water (not necessarily in that order). I was downtown staying at Denise's condo for a couple of nights. We hosted a wedding shower for a friend at work. The places you've seen are truely memories you will always treasure. We're just sorry we all can't be with you. Remember how much fun Hawaii was with the 8 of us! HB parents and CHI Town parents can still parti too! E-mail us with the time you can be on Skype if you have a break in that schedule. Much love, Mom
